Simple Template with the Splash and Relax Bundle

Last week on Template Thursday we created our Simple Template with the Splash and Relax Bundle . Using this simple template with the Splash and Relax Bundle, is the perfect kick off to summer   This bundle is part of the May Online Exclusives Collection.   I also had so much fun pairing it with the Beach Boardwalk Designer Paper.  The water pattern in this paper pack was the perfect addition to look like a pool.

Simple template using Waterside Retreat

This week on Template Thursday I have another simple template using Waterside Retreat Suite.  I love how you can create for someone who loves a lake, or ocean or just a nice calming vibe in general.

I shared in my live a couple of creativity tools I use when I get a new DSP pack, bundle, or suite.  The first thing I love to create is a DSP sampler, that I have shared often with you. I cut 2 inch squares of each pattern design and adhere it to an 8 1/2″x11″ piece of Basic White Cardstock.  Then I take a 1″ punch and punch out the coordinating colors for that DSP pack.

Something new that I’ve started doing is creating a Bundle Sampler. I use the dies included in the bundle to die cut all of the pieces, then I stamp the coordinating images to showcase the stamp set. This helps me tremendously by allowing me to see the bigger picture and gives me inspiration when creating my cards.

During my Live I created an alternate cards by embossing my Lost Lagoon Panel with the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder.  I also die cut out a life jacket from the DSP for a fun option.

Bandstand Fun Fold

This week on my Sunday Live, I created the Bandstand Fun Fold.  This fold was inspired by my friend Dawn Griffith. What I love about the Bandstand Fun Fold, is that it is a versatile fold. It  can be used with any bundle or designer paper.

It had not used the Delicate Dreams Designer Paper that much, due to it’s popularity.  This stunning paper was the perfect touch to my Mother’s Day Tribute. The flower is from Boutique Blossoms, and the sentiment is from Paradise Garden.
