Slider Pocket Fun Fold

For today’s project I am creating what I am calling a Slider Pocket Fun Fold! This Slider Pocket Fun Fold for a simple interactive card.  This Slider Pocket Fun Fold is featuring product from the Painted Patch Suite Collection that can be found in the September – December Catalog.

This has turned out to be another favorite of mine.  What I love about this is that incorporates non-traditional Fall Colors.  It brings in blues and pinks which I love.  Typically I say the star of the show is the Designer Paper, but this time it is the Painted Pumpkins Bundle. This bundle includes coordinating dies that cut out the stamped or masked pumpkins. It also includes standalone pumpkin dies that are perfect for paper piecing.

One thing I really love is that the pumpkins come in a cluster of three for both stamping and die cutting. It makes creating your project so much easier than working with individual pumpkins. But my favorite part of this bundle has to be the buildable masks! I absolutely love a great mask and a little ink blending. As you can see on my project, the masks make it so easy to create beautifully shaded pumpkins with lots of dimension.

I have also fallen in love with the Scalloped Christmas Cheer Dies! I love having different shapes to use on my projects, and these are definitely a keeper. That scalloped edge adds just the perfect little touch!

Project Dimensions:
  • Largest Scalloped Base in Calypso Coral.  If you do not have the Scallop Dies just cut a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Panel
  • Main Base in Secret Sea 5 1/4″ x 8 1/4″ – Score at 2 3/4″ and 6 3/4″
  • Insert Base in Secret Sea 3 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ – Score at 3/8″ vertically along the 3 3/4″ side
  • Inside Calypso Coral Layer 3″ x 4″
  • Inside Basic White Layer 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
  • Front Scallop Panel – 3rd from largest in Calypso Coral.  If you do not have the Scallop Die cut your layer at 2 1/4″ x 2 5/8″
  • Basic White Front Panel 1 3/4″ x 2 3/4″  if you layer on top of Scallop.  If you do not have the Scallop your top layer will be 2″ x 2 1/2″
  • DSP Front and Inside Panel 2 1/2″ x 5″
  • Side DSP Strip 1 1/4″ x 5″

Be sure to watch the video for my Masking Tips.  I used the following colors:

  • Mask 1 – Crisp Cantaloupe
  • Mask 2 – Calypso Coral
  • Mask 3 – Cajun Craze
  • Mask 4 – Pecan Pie for the stem

I hope today’s project inspires you to get into your craft room and create. I always love seeing what you make, so be sure to share your finished project with me!

X-Fold Flash Card Fun Fold

In yesterday’s YouTube LIVE I created this X-Fold Flash Card Fun Fold with you.  I was inspired by Connie Stewart with this X-Fold Flash Card Fun Fold, and I immediately fell in love with it. For this project, I’m using the brand-new September Online Exclusive Autumn Opulence Designer Series Paper. The gorgeous fall colors and patterns are perfect for showing off this unique X Fold design.

The Sentiment is from the Thanks & Giving stamp set, also from the September Online Exclusive Release.

What I love about this fold is that it stands beautifully for display but folds completely flat.  This does fit in a standard medium envelope as well.
