Special Tribute To The Moon and Back

“I love you to the Moon and Back” is what you always said to me every single day of my life.  When looking through the Annual catalog and saw the To The Moon stamp set, naturally I could not help but do this special tribute in honor of you on what would have been your 80th Birthday.  Please enjoy this special tribute to my wonderful late father Frederick (Fred) Franklin Civello.

He always loved the simple things in life, so I decided to keep this project in the “Simple Stamping” Category.

  • I started out by using our amazing Blending Brushes to create the Night Background.  The color combo used was Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue, and Fresh Freesia.
  • Stamping the Large Moon Image, Adding the stars in Daffodil Delight, and finishing it out with Basic Rhinestones.
  • Card Base Daffodil Delight 4 1/4″ x 11″ Scored at 5 1/2″ or folded in half
  • Layer 1 Daffodil Delight 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White 3 3/4″ x 5″

My Father was ONE OF A KIND.  He was kind, patient, and one of the most hardworking men I knew.  He was always encouraging me to be my best and supporting me in the things that I was most passionate about.

When I was creating my new Craft Studio, I made sure to honor him. Anytime I can find something with his “I love you to the Moon and Back” I make sure I find a special place for it.

Having two older brothers and being the only girl, truly made the bond between him and me more special.   I will forever be your “Bouncing Baby Girl”.  Happy Birthday, Daddy. I love you to the Moon and Back.

I hope you enjoyed today’s special tribute and “Simple Stamping” project.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!!

Spiral Die- Party Puffin – Birthday Card

Hey Stampin’ Friends:

Last weekend we had our Annual Catalog Kickoff event for our Team.  I presented 2 projects using the adorable Party Puffins Stamp Set.  If you missed yesterday’s blog you can CLICK HERE to see the first project.

In today’s project, I wanted to showcase another stamp that I am absolutely in love with.  The Spiral Dye Background Set. I am absolutely obsessed with the brand new 2021-2023 In-Colors.  Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia are my two faves out of the new 5 colors.

To Create this fun Tie Die Background, I used the Stamparatus, our stamp positioning tool.  I also showed below where the best spot to line up your Basic White Cardstock to start stamping your first layer.  You will then rotate your cardstock 180 degrees to stamp your 2nd Image.   You will also notice in the first image below you will see where the arrow is on my grid paper to show where you will place it if you want to add a 3rd color.

PROJECT MEASUREMENTS PROJECT 2:
  • Pool Party Card Base 4 1/4″ x 11″ Scored at 5 1/2″ or folded in half
  • Basic White 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Sentiment Pieces: Pool Party : 3 1/2″ x 1″. Basic White 3 1/4″ x 3/4″
  • Largest Scalloped Circle in Pool Party, Largest Regular Circle in Basic White from Layering Circles Dies

I absolutely had such a fun time coming up with different color combos I wanted to share below just a few.  I made the mistake and googled tie-dye color combos and my head went spinning.  These make amazing fun masculine birthday cards, kids birthday cards, teens, you name it.  Here are just a few fun color combos I came up with.

All

I sure hope you loved today’s project.  If you do not have a Stampin’ Demonstrator in the United States, I would love the opportunity to earn your business.  All products in today’s project are listed below.
