Luv 2 Stamp Blog Hop- Celebrating Women

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year, we hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

When you have completed each post, be sure to scroll down to the bottom and you will see the list of Blog Hop Participants. You may either click on their name to go to their post or click the NEXT button.  Happy Crafting and I hope you enjoy this month’s theme: CELEBRATING WOMEN

In today’s project, since the theme was CELEBRATING WOMEN I could not think of someone so deserving than my late mom Diane.  She is the inspiration behind today’s project.

Quilted layout card

My mom absolutely loved to quilt.  In fact, the one thing she loved to make were potholders.  Since she also loved to cook, she would love to make potholders for family and friends.  We also loved doing craft fairs together.  See the photo below of the last craft fair we did together in 2015.

What I absolutely love about this layout you can pretty much do any of our amazing Designer Papers.  It is a fabulous way to use up those scrap pieces you have lying around.  The size of the squares I am using are 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″.  The paper I used in this project is the Symbols of Fortune paper.  I absolutely love this paper. PRO TIP:  You will want to layout ahead of time like the sample below and you will also want to use Liquid Glue to adhere down to allow wiggle room.

PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:
  • Card Base Calypso Coral 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″ or Folded in Half
  • Basic White Matte Piece 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Symbols of Fortune DSP  1 1/4″ x 1  1/4″ (you will need 6 of each.  Although you will be only using 4 of one)
  • Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder
  • Sentiment from Blessings from Home
  • Label me Lovely Punch
  • Finished off with Rhinestones color with Calypso Coral Blends

Love and Happiness Bundle Simple Layout Card

In Today’s project, I am using the Love and Happiness Bundle to create a simple layout card that you can make multiples of.  You can find this Hybrid Bundle on Page 11 from the January-June, 2022 Mini Catalog.

Stampin Up Love and Happiness Hybrid Bundle

I absolutely love this Bundle for 2 reasons:

  • Look at the amazing sentiments in this Stamp Set.  I honestly have been waiting for a LOVE Stamp Set that covers everything.  Wedding, Anniversary, Engagement, Valentine’s Day, Just Because I love you all in one!!!  I love the different fonts and sizes.  It’s absolutely perfect.

Love and Happiness Bundle By Stampin Up

  • The 2nd reason I loved this bundle is that it is a Hybrid Bundle.  What does that mean?  Stampin Up! came up with a brilliant embossing folder called the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder that can cut and emboss at the same time which is pretty amazing if you ask me.

I had so much fun creating some different samples using this bundle.

Luv 2 Stamp Blog Hop-LOVE

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year, we hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

In Today’s project, I wanted to create an Engagement card for my niece and with the theme on the blog hop being LOVE it is the perfect Bundle for this card.

Love and Happiness Engagement Card

In this project, I am using the Love and Happiness Hybrid Bundle.  What does Hybrid mean?  Well with Stampin’ Up! they have created a bundle where it cuts the image and embosses at the same time that is called Hybrid.  So in this bundle, you will get that bonus of receiving an embossing folder at the same time.

Love and Happiness Hybrid Embossing Folder

To add a little something extra I cut strips of Basic Black cardstock (1) 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ and (1) 1/2″ x 5 3/4″ and then finished off with 3 Basic Rhinestones.

PROJECT MEASUREMENTS:
  • Cardbase Basic Gray 4 1/4″ x 11″ Scored at 5 1/2″ or folded in half
  • Basic White: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic Black: 3/4″ x 5 1/4″, and 1/2″ x 5 1/4
