Super Simple One Sheet Wonder

Today we created 3 cards with this Super Simple One Sheet Wonder.  If you are not familiar with One Sheet Wonders, it is a great way to explore using just your Designer Paper and cutting it up into multiple pieces using either a 12×12 or a 6×6 sheet.  Today’s projects I cut down a 12×12 Sheet of Mediterranean Blooms to a 6×6 to keep things simple.

So typically I do the sizes for each card, but I thought it would be easier to do the Sizes for the Card Bases and then the cutting dimensions on the 6×6 paper.

Card Base Sizes and Dimensions :
  • Card 1 Night of Navy Card Base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4
  • Card 2 Night of Navy Cad Base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ – Cut 1″ off Top Keep this piece for project #3, you will be heat embossing your sentiment
  • Card 3 Thick Basic White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 1 1/4″ and 4 1/4″

Basic White Panel Dimensions :
  • (2) 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • (1) 3″ x 5 1/4″
  • (1) 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″

Mediterranean Blooms DSP Cutting Dimensions :  Cut down to 6×6 from original 12 x 12
  • If your paper is directional you will want to cut 1/2″ from either the top or bottom
  • Rotate along 6″ side cut (3) 2″ Strips
  • Take 2 of the 2″ strips and cut down to 5 1/4″

I chose 2 Sentimental Stamp sets to work with today, Simply Said and the Online Exclusive Sweetly Scripted.

It’s all about Simple Stamping

It’s all about Simple Stamping this week.  Today we are keeping it simple or as we like to say in the Crafting World, SIP.  Stamps, Ink, and Paper.  Usually it is with no layers or just 1.  No die cuts, ribbon, or embelishments.  Although I consider myself projects clean and simple, I usually need a few layers and some bling.

Project Sizes and Dimensions :
  • Standard Card Base in Coastal Cabana 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/2″
  • 2 Basic White Panels 4″ x 5 1/4″ (1) for front focal point (1) for inside

The Friends for Life Photopolymer Stamp Set has the perfect fun, bold sentiments for this card.  Using either Mask Sheets or just a simple piece of scrap paper, you will want to tear the top and bottom to create a fun shape for your background.

Leave enough room for the large “FRIEND” sentiment so it stays within the blended background.  The colors I used are one of my favorite color combos: Coastal Cabana, Petunia Pop, and Misty Moonlight make the perfect bright and bold background.  Be sure to watch the video for my fun oopsie!!!

Seaside Wishes Hybrid Bundle

On yesterday’s Teach it Tuesday we used the Seaside Wishes Hybrid Bundle.  The Seaside Wishes Hybrid Bundle is so fun to create that perfect beach theme card or scrapbook page.  I am such a blue girlie that of course I had to focus on two of my favorite blues, Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue.
