This week on Template Thursday I have another simple template using Waterside Retreat Suite. I love how you can create for someone who loves a lake, or ocean or just a nice calming vibe in general.

I shared in my live a couple of creativity tools I use when I get a new DSP pack, bundle, or suite. The first thing I love to create is a DSP sampler, that I have shared often with you. I cut 2 inch squares of each pattern design and adhere it to an 8 1/2″x11″ piece of Basic White Cardstock. Then I take a 1″ punch and punch out the coordinating colors for that DSP pack.
Something new that I’ve started doing is creating a Bundle Sampler. I use the dies included in the bundle to die cut all of the pieces, then I stamp the coordinating images to showcase the stamp set. This helps me tremendously by allowing me to see the bigger picture and gives me inspiration when creating my cards.

During my Live I created an alternate cards by embossing my Lost Lagoon Panel with the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder. I also die cut out a life jacket from the DSP for a fun option.

This week on Template Thursday with Tammy I will be using this Simple Template with Valley Bloom DSP. I have also paired it with the Sending Salutations for our sentiment and our label came from the Scalloped Blooms Dies.I accented with leaves using the Boutique Blooms Dies. I really love how you can just take a simple template, change the orientation and it can give you some completely different looks. On this week’s Template Thursday with Tammy we are creating the Elegant Thinking of You Card using the Lovely Arrangement Bundle from Stampin’ Up! I had fun pairing it with Nature Walk Designer Paper to give it a nice soft look.
During my LIVE I created using Lost Lagoon for my Bases instead of the Thick Basic White.
One thing that I am newly loving is creating a template for my dies. I am really bad at not utilizing the potential of the dies, so cutting them out and putting them on a piece of cardstock really helps with my creative process. Here is the Die Cut Sampler I created for the Lovely Arrangement Bundle.
