Pocket Gift Card Holder

Today’s project is perfect for this time of year. I created the perfect gift card holder for any event.  Whether you are making a card for a Birthday, Wedding, Graduation, or Just Because this is the perfect quick and easy Layout.

All you truly need is a piece of 12×12 Designer Paper of your choice, coordinating colored cardstock, and the perfect bundle.  In today’s projects I am using the Hues of Happiness Designer Paper. Happiness Abounds Bundle, and Stylish Shapes Dies.

We are starting off by cutting our 12×12 DSP

  1. 6″ x 12″
  2. 6″ x 9 1/4″
  3. 2″ x 6″

In your next step, you will want to score your DSP along the 9 1/4″ side at 2 3/4″ and 7″  Rotate along the 6″ side you will score at 5/8″.  Then by taking your paper snips you will want to remove the two bottom corners.  To get the perfect fold you will also want to trim the middle flap at an angle.

Using a strong adhesive such as Stamp n Seal or Stamp n Seal + adhere flap pieces together.

Next, you will want to use the 3rd smallest circle die or any circle die or punch to notch out the top of your card as well as the 2″x6″ Strip that will hold your gift card for your pocket piece.

For your insert pocket pieces, you will want to pick a good coordinating color as well as Basic White for your sentiment piece.  In this project, I used Melon Mambo

  • Melon Mambo Piece 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Basic White : 3 3/4″ x 5″

On your Basic White Piece, you will want to add adhesive to the bottom edge, place your 2″ x 6″ DSP.

Flip your panel over and trim corner pieces off to give you a better fold.

Stamp your Sentiment and Adhere your Panel to Melon Mambo Cardstock. I used the stitched squares from Stylish Shapes and I die cut the flowers out of the DSP.  I finished up with my new favorite Solid Faced Gems.

Cup of Tea Simple Layout

I am excited to bring you a few simple layout cards using the brand new Cup of Tea Bundle from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.  This Bundle just completely reminds me of my mom who absolutely loved her tea.

In my first project, I of course had to use this adorable Lemon Paper.  This paper is from the Tea Boutique 6×6 Designer Paper.  I absolutely love this Designer Paper and feel like it brings these projects together.

PROJECT MEASUREMENTS
  • Card Base in Orchid Oasis 4 1/4″ x 11 scored at 5 1/2″ or folded in half
  • Basic White Matte 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Tea Boutique DSP 2″ x 4″

My Second project of course had to bring in my returning favorite dies Scalloped Contour.  These Dies are a staple in my craft room.  This beautiful pattern on the teacup was the opposite side of this gorgeous floral paper.  Again, from the Tea Boutique Designer Paper.

On the scalloped rectangle piece, I stamped the sprigs directly onto the panel in Parakeet Party.  The Flowers are stamped in Sweet Sorbet and the sentiment is stamped in Sweet Sorbet as well.

Supplies in Today’s Projects:

Peekaboo Circle Fun Fold Card

For my project today, I am showcasing what I like to call a Peekaboo Circle Fun Fold Card featuring the Hello Ladybug Bundle from January to June 2021 Mini Catalog.

I absolutely love this layout so much that you can pretty much use any bundle you would like that fits in the Peek-A-Boo Window.  In fact, my amazing friend Patty Bennett created her own project using the Steller Birthday Set.  CLICK HERE TO SEE HER PROJECT

This layout would work great for any designer series paper.  I am using the 2021-2023 In Color Designer Paper.  Now although the Polished Pink color is not retiring the design on this paper sadly is going away on May 2nd.  Be sure to grab yours before it goes away. Plus it’s on sale for $6.90!!  GREAT DEAL!!!

My sentiment is stamped on one of my favorite labels from the Potted Succulent Dies.  I absolutely love this die.  It reminds me of those chalkboard labels. Then I doubled up on the medium Daisy Punch.  Then to finish it off I of course had to add in some extra BLING  with the Rhinestones.

TIP: Adhere Front Panel DSP before Die-cutting 2 1/4″ Circle

TIP: Flip Circle over and this will be your Basic Black Circle then punch out 2″  Basic White Circle.
